Trick Umbrella is an interdisciplinary design studio weaving place-based storytelling into the physical world. We create highly interactive, narrative-driven experiences that deepen the audience's connection to "place", and their encounters with treasures hidden among the everyday. The company is an offshoot of the Omnimuseum Project, established in 2012 to research and develop strategies and techniques for expanding the museum experience into everyday settings.
We work with local history and science museums, heritage site, nature centers and other cultural organizations whose educational missions extend outside their buildings, and seek to create places of relevance, meaning, understanding and reflection.
Services
Our services include: consultation, planning, story development, space design, game design, graphic and media arts, interactive development, engineering, and project management and oversight, from inception to installation.
